Dr. Strangeland or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Taiwan

3.26.2005

I've come back to do two things . . . kick some ass and chew bubble-gum. And I'm all out of bubble-gum.

It's been a long time since I have added anything to this site and the first thing that I would like to give you is this:

Click on the image to load the video. It may take a while to load. It's another big file.

I blew my speakers listening to this 10 times in a row. But ohhhhoohohohohohoho it was worth it.

What else is new with me? Well, I just finished my first series of tests at my high school. I wasn't expecting to have to do tests this early in the semester and neither were my students. To compensate for the short notice I decided to make the test as easy as possible. I told my classes a week before the tests what I would ask them. They would each get one question. And it was basically a pass or fail situation. Sadly some students could not get the answer to simple questions like "What's your phone number?" and "What's your first name?"

My classes at my adult school are going well. But attendance is low. I don't know if it's me or just bad luck. But out of my four classes 3 of them are under 6 students. Most of my students are busy with work or school. So I am sure it's not me, but it still sucks to lose that many students at the same time.

My only other piece of news is my forthcoming trip to Thailand on march 31st. It'll be nice to go back yet again. I could have chosen another place in Asia, but the price was right. So back again I go.
