The last few days in Thailand were probably the strangest days in Thailand.
On our last day in Ao Nang we walked and shopped and ate some delicious food. We then got on a taxi that told us he could take us to the bus station. He then proceeded to drop everyone else off and then when we were the only ones left he realized he didn't know where we wanted to go. When he discovered that we wanted to go to the bus station he made us get out and hop into another taxi. At this point Adrian and I were both heavily aware of the time and couldn't help but feel a bit nervous.
Luckily we made it to the station with time to spare. Our bus departed at 5:00pm. It was again supposed to be a 12 hour trip, but the bus driver obviously had other plans. We got into Bankok at 3:00am. Which is fine, except that we didn't get our room until 8:30am. We walked around and ran into Scott Harrison's French cousin. I am not sure if it really was his relative, but I swear to God it was a Harrison!
We got our hotel room, and then headed out for our last day. We went back to the Chatuchak market where I snagged Band Of Brothers on DVD for 30.00 Canadian. All 6 discs! WOO HOO!!! (As an aside: I highly recomend that everyone read that book)
For the evening we went and watched a terrible movie. Seems to be our tradition. Last year was Collateral Damage. This year we saw Hero. Someone basically took a roll of ass and put it into the projector and made me pay money to watch it. Oh wait, that wasn't ass, that was the movie.
After the movie we took a taxi back to the area near our hotel and things got wierd. As we strolled along a girl came up beside me and touched my shoulder and said "I like you." I pushed her off and told her "Not tonight." She kept following and putting her hands on me. So I stopped walking and let her get ahead of me. That's when she saw Adrian. She started to do the same to him. I high-tailed it into the street and got out of her line of vision. Adrian started walking back to the hotel. As he was passing the restaurant I heard him yell "No! Don't touch me!" the girl said she didn't touch him. Then she started kicking him! The manger of the hotel came out and we explained that we did not know this girl. She kept speaking Thai and gesturing that we were with her. Thankfully the manager believed us and he sent the girl on her way.
The rest of the night was uneventful.
The next day we headed to the airport and headed home. Back to the stinkpot Chung Li. . .
